When I first wrote this article, it was completely boring, and unwikified, but man! You guys have taken my work to the next level. Congratulations! Good on ya! This is something I'm very proud of, and I'd like to congratulate everyone.

Birthplace[edit]

I think it should be made clear that Ben Hall's birthplace is unknown. Some reports happen to say Breeza. I think that should be made clear.

I've reinserted this, which keeps getting deleted for no obvious reason. The NSW government link gives Breeza as the birthplace. JQ 09:25, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

From Peter Bradley - 0412 640 975Italic text .... There is no birth certificate for Ben Hall on the NSW BDM website; however the generally accepted birthplace and birth date for Ben Hall is Wallis Plains, where his mother Eliza was working as a housemaid. Refer (i) Hall family history and family bible; (ii) LL McLellan - Benjamin Hall and Family (Quirindi c. 1981). What is important is that on the birth certificate for Henry, Ben and Biddy's son, born 1859, Ben's birthplace is shown as Maitland. At the time of Ben's birth, his father was working on Samuel Clift's Doona run, just north of Murrurundi. Breeza was further north and not held by Clift. Refer also my books on Ben Hall (i) "The Judas CovenantItalic text" and (ii) "Stories from the hard roadItalic text"

Streets of Forbes[edit]

The lede mentions his impact on folklore. The folk song Streets of Forbes is very well known, and might be worth mentioning along with more contemporary references. ConfusedAndAfraid (talk) 12:35, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hero?[edit]

Why is Kelly heroised but Hall overlooked? Why was he not rehabilited? Jack Upland (talk) 02:32, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
