Added Infobox, needs expansion/review[edit]

Fixing citation format[edit]

I created proper inline citations out of the previous list of citations that were out of order and unclear. There is still a lot of work to do, so I kept the original list below the proper one for now. I would like a second set of eyes to make sure I transcribed everything correctly first.

I tried to research publication information for everything cited and expand/correct citations were I could. Nonetheless, I could not find the vast majority of works that are cited, so they may need to be checked for relevance to the article and correct publication information.

The original author of the article appears to used a large amount of primary sources and because of the volume of citations from Peter Force's American Archives, I suspect many of the letters, journals, memoranda, et cetera, came from there. I could only cite Peter Force for ones explicitly stated to be from American Archives however. The article will need to reduce its dependance on primary sources, so I added that to the list of outstanding issues at the top of the page.Cincotta1 (talk) 04:24, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
