Confirmation is developing, indicating that the Mexican Army murdered Mr. LeBaron because he was becoming an inconvenience. His kind of activity, challenging corruption, would bring Mexico up to a 1st World country status, instead of bringing the United States down to a 3rd World status. There is a citeable, earlier report of eyewitnesses that a hand grenade was involved. Only the Mexican Army has access to hand grenades. There is videotape of the license plates, trucks, and men involved, and even if (as some anonymous sources maintain) the trucks carrying the assailants were stolen, those are still viable leads, because there could be witnesses to the thefts. For the current article, I object to wording that suggests that the Mexican government is teaching or training Mormons in how to use firearms, when the Mexican government, according to all available factual data, is directly responsible for the LeBaron executions, and the cited media sources, 1. are all syndicated; 2., are all very similar or identical; 3., do not involve any on-the-ground investigative journalism, narrative development of alternative scenerios, or challenging of the initial characterization of the incident; and 4., all the media sources themselves cite the AP News Wire service, as the mother-source, when it appears to be the one whitewashing this story. The basis of my objection is that unchallenged, unconfirmed assertions by the AP News wire service, are merely being repeated in the LeBaron article, including continuing mischaracterizations about the involvement of the Mexican government with the LeBaron executions. I request that this matter be discussed in the discussion pages, and I would like to challenge the part of the Wikipedia entry, that describes the Mexican government giving guns to the Mormons, because I think there's an inaccuracy there. Editors, I apologize if the form of this content is slightly out of kilter with the editorial update guidelines for the talk section, but I am still researching the correct Wikipedia protocol, and I would be appreciative if this notice could be left up, so that at least a few editors, with skills far better than mine, could have time to check in, and get caught up on the accuracy of this article. I further wanted to add that some of those who have factual information haven't made statements for reasons that should be obvious. I am asking the Wikipedia community to allow them to make their various valuable contributions, based on citeable references, via anonymous email and other sources that I am asking the Wikipedia community to make available. 200.79.223.5 (talk) 00:16, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mormon fundamentalist leaders Category[edit]

While I find the story of Benjamin LeBaron interesting, I'm not 100% sure he should be in the Category:Mormon fundamentalist leaders. Going by the cited sources on Benjamin LeBaron Page, I'm not convinced he should be considered a Mormon Fundamentalist Leader for the following reason:

He is not notable for being a "Mormon Fundamentalist Leader". He is notable for being the founder of the "Sociedad Organizada Segura", a "specialized anti-terrorism force in Chihuahua (Mexico)".
The cited sources never says that he is a leader in the "Church of the Firstborn of the Fulness of Times" (hereafter called CFFT). They sources only hint at him being a possible member of the CFFT. He is only cited as a leader and founder of "Sociedad Organizada Segura". This doesn't make him a "Mormon Fundamentalist Leader".
I'm not sure he is even a member of a "Mormon Fundamentalist" sect. The status of CFFT his highly questionable. The cited sources only refer to it in the past, not as a current group.
Even if the CFFT is an active sect and Benjamin LeBaron is a leader of some kind, I'm no longer sure it is a "Mormon Fundamentalist sect". All the cited sources say it no longer practices polygamy or most of the things that make a sect like this a "Mormon Fundamentalist" sect. It may just be a Latter Day Saint Sect now.

It seems to me that his is a "Political and Social Activist", not a "Mormon Fundamentalist Leader", much like Mitt Romney (Politacal) and Stanford Cazier (Social) are activists who are LDS, but are not "Leaders in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints".

However, I'm not saying I'm right. There may be some reasons that he should be in Category:Mormon fundamentalist leaders, but I'm just not seeing them. I would like some comments by others before I do anything.--ARTEST4ECHO (^talk/_contribs) 12:35, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
