A fact from Berceuse (Chopin) appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 13 October 2018 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that in his Berceuse, Chopin created a lullaby for piano in 16 continuous variations on an ostinato ground bass?
@Gerda Arendt: "The first sketch belonged to ..." is not clear. That sounds as if she had commissioned it, which could be the case but we don't know. I think it's unlikely.
