  • @Gerda Arendt: "The first sketch belonged to ..." is not clear. That sounds as if she had commissioned it, which could be the case but we don't know. I think it's unlikely. Ref. says the MS was in her possession, but that doesn't necessarily mean that she owned it. Jmar67 (talk) 23:33, 18 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, these are the subtleties of English I really don't know well enough. So often, I'd prefere to say what the source says, but then the "paraphrase" watchers come. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:11, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Gwillhickers: Thanks for your edits. Concerning your change to "pulverised", that is part of a direct quote. MOS frowns on changing spelling in this case. Do you think it is appropriate here? Jmar67 (talk) 23:32, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thought it was a simple misspelling on the editor's part. Yes, quotes should be written to the letter, so I restored the original spelling. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 00:12, 21 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
