Second bullet point under physical properties under basic properties...[edit]

Comparison of heat transfer is made refering to 6061 as a metal matrix composite. 6061 is not a MMC. It is often a constituent. More is needed to represent a MMC: SiCp/6061, Al2O3p/6061, ZrBp/6061, etc.. Different composites of 6061 will have different heat transfer qualities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BGriffin (talkcontribs) 13:09, 21 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Request - Dead Link Reference 1 & 2, potentially 3[edit]

Hello, I do want to disclose that I am a working on behalf of Materion Corp and would like to fix the dead links in the reference section of this article.

I found an updated URL for the first link and would request that it be changed to: https://materion.com/~/media/Files/PDFs/Beryllium/AlBeMet%20Materials/MAAB-032AlBeMetTechnicalDataSheet.pdf

For the second broken link I could not find a hosted pdf, but through the SDS search on Materion.com it does narrow it down to the correct file to download. I do not think that would fit the reference requirement, but other editors might have a different requirement or approach to how to do this.

For that link this is the search that gets to the correct SDS, but it is not a hosted pdf, but a download: https://materion.com/resource-center/environmental-health-and-safety/safety-data-sheets?co=&ct=US&la=&t=sn&q=&qs=albemet

Thank you and I hope you will consider adding in these working links.

Partly done, see above. DrStrauss talk 21:39, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can we list some example uses[edit]

What specific uses can justify the expense ? AlBeMet was used in some of the NASA Mars rovers. eg on the Curiosity MSL rover for a large bracket for the ELT-B radio.MSL comms. - Rod57 (talk) 21:44, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
