Map[edit]

Well done to all those that have converted the map into the latest template style. However, I foresee a problem, which is that the map now dominates the article. It seem to me to be a case of the "tail wagging the dog", so-to-speak. I have noticed that some pictures can be made smaller, a placed in a "frame", to make it fit nicely on the page. If one wants to look at an enlargement, then clicking the picture opens up a new window where the full-size picture can be looked at. I just wonder whether this might be a "solution" to the problem of the large map. Not sure how it might be implemented, but its the concept that I am trying to sell. I think that the map would benefit from the removal of all turn-offs that are not serviced by trains on the line (for example Thameslink Line, Brighton Main Line). Stations that aren't serviced by any Bexleyheath line trains (e.g. Brixton, Clapham High Street) should especially go. Ironically, Cannon Street isn't shown as a separate station (just as a branch)! This was previously served during the morning peak (and maybe the evening one? I'm not sure), but is now served regularly even during the daytime off-peak. (After the evening peak only Charing Cross is served.) On that note the "Present services" section needs updating, but I don't know enough to do it (regarding the stations south of Dartford and looping back up to one of the other two nearby lines). Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:South Western Main Line which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 01:30, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
