Plot summary reads like an original plot critique. Not useful for those looking for a factual summary of the plot. Perhaps it could be moved to a separate section? Would still likely violate guidelines about original research.

I'm reading this book at the moment. The first paragraph reads like a good short summary of what the plot is about. The second paragraph reads like the editor's opinion of the book after they read it. Personally, I can see the Thelma and Louise reference, but it didn't really make me think of Dante - If the person who wrote it had a reference to a review that made these kinds of comparions it might be better. Maybe we could look up more factual information about when it was written, which awards it was nominated to. Links to the guardian.co.uk review that came up when I googled this book. I agree; this plot summary is one editor's personal review. My take on the novel is that it is a ghost story. Alison is dead, either aborted by her mother, or killed later by one of her mother's 'boyfriends'. Of course, I can't prove that this is correct, but it's worth as much as the review here.Dean1954 (talk) 18:57, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
