Big Blue (disambiguation)Big Blue – Through most searches on third-party engines, the term "Big Blue"'s affinity is split almost equally (through search and book results) between the nickname for IBM (the current target of Big Blue) and the nickname for the New York Giants. Mixed in also with these results are references to The Big Blue. At this point, I'd say the best option for our readers would be to move the disambiguation page to the base title so they can figure out what subject they are trying to locate. • Oppose. It's not helpful to have no primary topic for a 50:50 split. No-one wins: 100% of users require an extra click. With a primary topic, only 50% of users require that extra click. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 07:24, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've amended the hatnote at IBM to help. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 07:30, 16 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support I don't think IBM is the primary topic here. I also don't think it's useful to have a hatnote on either of IBM or New York Giants referencing "Big Blue". power~enwiki (π, ν) 04:53, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose more than half the population of this planet doesnt know Big Blue is nickname for some football team (I didnt, till I saw this discussion). A lot more people know big blue is IBM's nickname. —usernamekiran(talk) 21:08, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. You mean they play football in the US too? Oh, in those plastic suits of armour? Cute. Seriously, folks, most of the world know IBM and its nickname. Just as an aside, if it does move, note that the history of the target needs to be preserved. Andrewa (talk) 00:02, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
