Big Brother 4 Chronology Table[edit]

I am going to start work on the Chronology Table for this season. Would anyone like to help out? Alucard 16 07:23, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can ScottAHudson 00:15, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks ScottAHudson, I am going to finish fixing the Big Brother 7 (US) Chronology table so that the Competitions table can be removed. I think since this season doesn't have any Chronology at all we should use the Official CBS website for this season and be sure to cite the information as we fix the table.♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 08:50, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have the structure of the table if we could start working on it!! ScottAHudson 13:49, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If someone could help with the table, that would be fantastic!!!!ScottAHudson 01:05, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will continue working on the table in a couple of days or weeks! ScottAHudson 6;12 15 September 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.31.90.198 (talk)

Not upgraded to C-Class[edit]

This article needs some kind of reliable sources and references before it can be moved to C-Class. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 22:02, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"then he chose to leave after the house guests did not accept his apology."

If he CHOSE to leave then he was not expelled. Right?--Bkopicz3 (talk) 03:03, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CBS stated he was expelled from the game. Therefor, the article should state the same.

Makeover[edit]

I updated the page by deleting the events chart (with competition names, nominations, etc.) from the page in favor of a written summary, as found in the pages for BB seasons 11 and onward. I also updated the "Format" section to include the Golden PoV and X-Factor twist added this season. If somebody could find time to make a HouseGuest chart (with their name, age, and occupation) the page would be mostly up to par with the pages of the latest seasons. I'd do it myself, but I don't know how to make the chart. Also, in the Voting History, the "Head of Household" cube has the phrase written all on one line, with every other season has "Head of" on top, and "Household" on the bottom. Any way to fix this? Thanks in advance. :)

Improved Table Format[edit]

Hey, I'm not sure if I'm doing this right but I had updated the format of the table without having posted it to a talk page and was subsequently told to to so.

I have added to the HouseGuest table to include the date of eviction (per other live produced shows including I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! (UK TV series)), whether they were a juror (per Survivor (franchise)) and specifying the order in which they were evicted ("1st evicted", "2nd evicted", ect) as both stated show have on their tables. This format looks more complete and informative than the prior version. I had also added a

An example of how I'd format the table (for BBUS4) is below (including a section for the ex twist, similar Big_Brother_6_(U.S._season)'s secret partner section on that table) - A similar section can be included when such a twist occurs in a given season (such as pair or team-based twists) and doesn't get included when such a twist doesn't exist.

Discussion[edit]

Since this season has concluded some editors might not see this discussion let me post a message over at Celebrity Big Brother 2 (U.S. season) since that is more active at the moment. Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 14:05, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Partners do not exist in any UK BB or Celebrity Get Me Out of Here series, other than as a very transient part of a game or twist lasting a couple of days and in only a couple of series. That is a lot of white space in over 50 articles. Leaky Caldron 14:53, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Leaky caldron: The Ex-Partners column would be a season specific column that would only be applicable to that season. Helloman124 provided Big Brother 6 (U.S. season) as an example where a "Secret Partner" column replaced it. The part that would be applicable to BBUK would be adding the actual dates to the results column and changing "Evicted" to "nth Evicted". I agree with you about the white space maybe that could be fixed somehow if the change in the results column is adopted. The only change I'm opposed to at the moment is the "Ex-Partner" column for this article. The names of the exes are explained in prose above the current table and are color coded in the "Voting history" table. I'm unsure about adding the dates to the results column. Just because I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! (UK TV series) and Survivor (U.S. TV series) does this doesn't mean Big Brother has to follow but it would provide consistency. Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 15:06, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I know it's going off topic a little bit and not discussing this matter, but when the colours were decided to go to green for winner, blue for runner-up (which i agree with), why was it decided that the finalists colour was that pale colour, would it not have made more sense to keep those yellow?
Also I don't think i'd be totally against the "nth evicted", however Big Brother uses the "Day..." rather than the dates (in the UK, Australia etc at least), so I'd be more inclined to remove the exit column and have "Evicted on Day...", but that's just my opinion. ThisIsDanny (talk) 15:26, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@ThisIsDanny: The colors were part of a discussion on the project talk page as a replacement for the old infoboxes. All the colors except for finalist and evicted were carried over from the old infobox. Evicted was changed from the light red to a shade of red similar to the voting history/nomination tables because it was already used in {{eliminated}}. I was WP:BOLD and changed the color for finalist from the brighter shade of yellow to the pale yellow for accessibility reasons. This way the bright yellow is exclusive to immune/exempt while the pale yellow is exclusive to finalist similar to how one shade of green is used for Head of Household (or similar power like Power Housemate) while another is used for Winner. I should have clearly explained why the color for finalist was changed on the project talk page but I forgot and no one opposed it at the time. The dark blue color used for the "Second Chance Winner" in Big Brother (UK series 18) came from {{won}} as it an alternate example color for that template and wasn't used in any Big Brother articles.
I like that idea however I'm unsure how it would work for Housemates that were evicted then re-entered the House like the multiple American Housemates or Nikki from Big Brother (UK series 7). The only way I can think of it working would be adopting a similar table layout that Survivor uses (see Survivor: South Pacific). Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 16:33, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I see, I only brought up the finalists colour because it seems almost out of place though that's just my opinion I understand that it probably made more sense not to have it the same as immune. And just looked at the Survivor page you referred to, looks unbelievably complicated. Yeah I agree I'm not sure how we'd be able to make the returning housemates make sense and readable. ThisIsDanny (talk) 21:45, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@ThisIsDanny: here is an alternate way it could look by doing the "nth Evicted" while retaining the general format used for Big Brother articles. There is a UK example and a USA example which would cover most bases. Alucard 16❯❯❯ chat? 03:09, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
