Sophie (producer)'s real name[edit]

According to the article for Sophie (producer), her real name is Sophie Long, not Samuel. I am arguing for my edit to the songwriting credits for "Yeah Right" to be restored. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Katacarbix (talkcontribs) 05:11, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Katacarbix: That is not true, if you look at this source her name is credited as "Samuel Long", not her stage name. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 23:20, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@TheAmazingPeanuts: I don't think that should matter. On many articles, a transgender individual's name has been updated even if the source referenced uses their old name. We don't know if that is her legal name, but I would maintain consistency with other articles referencing her (see: Pop_2_(mixtape)#Track_listing, Vroom_Vroom_(EP)#Track_listing, A._G._Cook#Songwriting_and_production_credits, Bitch_I'm_Madonna, et al.)
@Katacarbix: It does matter as long it is sourced in the album's liner notes, her name is credited as "Samuel Long", credited as "Sophie Long" is unsourced. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 13:50, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sophie's name[edit]

@Lilahthecrocodilah: Please keep your political opinion off of Wikipedia. We don't censor names here, just because Sophie is a transgender woman doesn't mean you go around to articles changing her name where she credited on. Her name is credited as "Samuel Long" in the album's liner notes [1], she also credited as "Samuel Long" in Tidal too [2]. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 14:08, 5 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
