September 2014[edit]

This article requires some cleanup in terms of use of punctuation, seeing as there are several unnecessary commas in areas and not enough punctuation in others. As well, there could be a more creative flow throughout the article instead of starting every sentence with “In Manitoba”, etc. There is also some missing information throughout the article, such as in the section on “Social and legal issues” with no content. Providing more links to other wiki pages (ie. providing the link to “multilingual sign”) would be helpful for readers to expand their knowledge. Lastly, there should be more references and citations earlier on in the article that refer to more of the countries or topics mentioned, instead of a select few (ie. Wales). The pictures do add a nice touch for readers to get a concrete understanding of how to identify bilingual signs.

Gallery was drastically reduced -- a good idea?[edit]

The gallery was just drastically reduced, leaving less than a fourth of the previous photos. The few that remain are all related to traffic and transportation. The previous gallery was full of signs with much more variety of functions and contexts, such as shops and cemeteries. I realize that various editors have different ideas of how much to include, I am frankly in favor of more. So now I am asking other editors for their views on whether the gallery should be restored or partially restored. Peacefully, Pete unseth (talk) 22:07, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
