Position[edit]

Is the "Position" line in the info box supposed to be former or current position? Right now it says Head Coach and Linebacker but if it is all former and current positions in the NFL then what about Special Teams Coach, Secondary Coach and Defensive Coordinator? "Unemployed" was added by somebody then removed by somebody else (probably assumed it was meant as an insult) but that would be accurate as to current position since he has no current position of employment. The "Position" line in the info box should be removed if it is meant to refer only to current position. I don't think it is current only but should all former positions be listed or only the most noteworthy? And what would determine noteworthiness in this case? It means, what positions did Cowher have in relevance to the NFL? I seriously doubt it means, "what have all his lines of employment been?". the Cowher '11 point rule'[edit]

For the last few weeks, sports analysts have enjoyed mentioning that the Steelers have almost always won when they achieve an eleven point or more lead in the course of a game. I've had some trouble finding out whether the current statistic is 102-1-1, but after the AFC championship, this statistic is definately going to have to be updated one way or another.

I seriously question the validity to the new third paragraph of the "Coaching Career" section. Why mention the offense of players except to triumph the team? This is a biographical stub, and I feel these interjections have no releveance. I would like others to weigh in. --TKE

Very interesting observation. However, could NC State "afford" him? In the NY papers, they are writing about him commanding up to $10m per year for 5 years. Successor[edit]

Until the final announcement is made on Monday, this field should be left blank. I think that this is just prudent so that Wikipedia will not be caught up in an embarassing gaffe if Tomlin isn't selected.

Where he grew up[edit]

I noticed each time they mention where Bill Cowher was born they state Crafton. He may have been raised there but they never mention he lived in Beechview until he was maybe 7 or 8 and went to Beechwood Elementary School. I wonder why they never mention this fact? Jeff Fisher's broken leg[edit]

The idea that Bill Cowher broke Jeff Fisher's leg keeps appearing on Jeff Fisher's page as well. Jeff Fisher played for the Bears in 1984 and Bill Cowher played for the Eagles.
