Misleading line[edit]

The resultant nitric acid was then used as a source of nitrate (NO3) in the reaction which may take place in the presence of water or another proton acceptors.

This line is extremely misleading. H3O+ + NO3- is just a way of saying nitric acid dissolved in water. It’s also not really showing how it’s actually being transformed from nitric acid to the conjugate base which is usually along the lines of where M is an alkali metal usually sodium or potassium. I’m going to mark it as misleading if I can, and if not I’m going to figure it out JGHFunRun (talk) 03:04, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
