Looked for anything on Youtube for the 'Flyport', but although I didn't find any right off, I do recall the ads, they often ran on national spots on radio news broadcasts.

Never did I hear them called 'Fly motels'. I never saw anything regarding the one marketed for yellowjackets so those ads may not have run where I was. The slogan 'Lots of arrivals, no departures' was used extensively during the Flyport's earlier days.

Nowadays if you hear someone talk about a 'roach motel', the person using the term often will use it to mean a particularly sleazy motel, whether or not it has a roach problem. I do not know where that started or why.

Origin of "Black Flag" Name[edit]

Does anyone know why the name "Black Flag" was picked? I know the black flag is used in motorsports to indicate disqualification from a contest but was there some older use of the black flag in the 19th century?Corumplex (talk) 03:36, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
