Genre[edit]

The song is mentioned in our article for metal and it appeared in the seven ages of rock documentary on the metal episode. I don't see why we can't put metal as a genre for the song. Feel free to comment.Rockgenre (talk)Rockgenre 03:51, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bassline same as on a Status Quo song[edit]

I just noticed that the baseline on Status Quo song "Is it Really Me/Gotta Go Home" (Lancaster) is practically the same as that on Black Night. Now that albun, "Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon", was released in August 1970, 2 months after the Black Night single. So did Status Quo copy that baseline? The release-dates are too close together to be sure. Or was it a matter of convergent evolution? :) Anyone have any info on this? Btw, in the first half of the song, the bassline is somewhat 'strechted out', but in the second half it's at the same speed. DirkvdM (talk) 09:42, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

lyrics[edit]

on the "album classics" DVD series (about the making of famous albums), Ian Gillian stated that he was drunk when writing the lyrics so he still woulnd't know what they mean really. Saemikneu (talk) 23:31, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
