blackriverfalls.com is not owned by the city government. It's a privately owned entity that publishes city meeting minutes. Should there be a note next to the link listing stating that fact and that it's not the "official" web site for the city? The domain name could through people off, and it's not clear on the site that it's not owned by the city. The city does not have a web site of their own. 8/2

1911 "Black Friday" flood[edit]

Based on a few online sources I've seen, Black River Falls was nearly destroyed by a devastating flood on Oct. 6, 1911, followed by lesser flooding that compounded the disaster ten days later. Residents called the initial event "Black Friday," and it apparently destroyed much of the town, including most of the downtown business district. The "History" section of this article is so threadbare that I don't think this should be added without fleshing out other highlights/aspects of the town's history in order to maintain a reasonably balanced picture.

Online sources:

Maybe a Wisconsin resident (ideally a BRF native or neighbor) can take some of this on? (Admittedly, my interest in this town stems mainly from the Wisconsin Death Trip tie-in.)
