Why is their role in the group being constantly changed? Only Se-mi and Jooyi have roles on the Korean article. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 21:19, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

RaNia is an up and coming Korean girl group who will be making an English debut later in the year. and um hello, have you seen their spread legs dance? That choreography alone is proof these girls are sticking around forever.

Joy's departure

Joy has indeed left the group - she's apparently now attending a Thai university and has a Thai boyfriend (she'd been making previous comments about disliking the dating ban and the way the company was managed. She decided that she didn't want the "idol" life, but one of her own making.

Here's a site translating the tweets she made shortly before her departure: http://blog.ningin.com/2012/04/02/ranias-joy-might-soon-be-leaving-the-group-for-good/. I believe the "flood" story was also debunked as well, although I can't find a proper link.

Same anon - Joy HAS left the group, she made a video announcing it and saying she would be a solo singer. Also, please note her Twitter says she is a FORMER member of RaNia, and her Facebook profile says the same https://www.facebook.com/jutamas.wichai.31. 70.66.208.202 (talk) 05:35, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

Edit request

Please edit the page to add the information that RaNia is preparing a comeback in 2014.

"The six-member girl group RaNia is preparing for their comeback!

The group’s leader Saem tweeted she has been shaping her body by doing flying yoga for their next album, revealing photos to prove so.

The group’s agency DR Music stated, “RaNia will make a comeback early this year. They are preparing everything in detail to repay their fan’s for waiting patiently for quite a while.”

RaNia was an active female group with a popular album Just Go, until they had to take a break due to unresolved issues with a record company. Now, they are coming back, to fill the long void!"

Would it be possible to add the fact that Joy is now in a Thai group "Gaia", who released their first song "Audition" in 2011. The music video currently has over 2 million views on Youtube, and the song was written by Jay Park. Thanks!

Riko still a member

Change Riko from former member to member Hi! I just wanted to say, that you have bad information on this. Riko is still a member of RaNia, she is just taking a break to complete her studies at college. Neither DR. Muscic Entertainment nor INGENIOMedia has confirmed Riko's departure! Hyeme

It looks like Hyeme is now a permanent member as there is a picture on her facebook of her practicing with the remaining members — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.152.1.168 (talk) 17:59, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Update - re: Hyeme

Sharon has left RaNia, Hyeme has joined (there are photos of her practicing in RaNia's studio with Di, Xia and T-ae, and Sharon uploaded photos of the two of them together before she deleted everything off her Instagram). IngenioMedia DID leak the track to a fan - digiworld1989/cookiecrisp - she posted photos to her Tumblr bragging about it and then blocked the manager when he threatened legal action. Riko and Jooyi have released solo tracks, and it is unlikely they are still members. Edit: However, Hyeme has since deleted everything from her Twitter (including a tweet where she claimed she was a permanent member) and Instagram feeds, and none of the girls follow her on social media anymore (although she is still following them). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.67.78.247 (talk) 19:21, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

2016 Performance

Can you please update the page with Alex's W Concert performance? The concert was on Sunday Nov 20th at Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul. She was a guest performer and did one set (Demonstrate raps, short Korean rap & the freestyle from their showcase). DR uploaded a full fan cam of her performance on their official YouTube channel. It was a big moment for her and definitely good press for the group!!

1. Alex performed on November 20th as a guest at W-Concert, a hip-hop concert, alongside big-name hip hop K-artists. [1]

2. RaNiA is preparing for a comeback starting December 24th. This has been announced by DR Music on their official channels [2], as well as INGENIOMedia, the Spanish company that once promoted RaNiA back in the day, who's been updating fans daily with countdowns and links to DR Music's YouTube page [3].

3. Confirmed songs for the upcoming album are "Make Me Ahh" (the song Alex teased us with on twitter in March), "Killer" (old RaNiA song reboot), and "Start A Fire" (written by J.Burney who's also written K-Pop hits like "Replay (SHINee)" and "Love Love Love (EXO)"). [4]

Note: Relying on personal interpretation of social media posts (original research / misuse of primary sources) in response to reliability concerns about another source is probably not a good idea. The main discussion appears to be about the reliability of Allkpop, not these Instagram posts. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 02:20, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

Article in need of major revisions

Majority of sources on here come from unreliable sources such as Koreaboo. I know Blackswan doesn't have much coverage on their recent years, but I'm positive we can do better than this when it comes to reporting the facts. - K-popguardian (talk) 18:43, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Change name to B.S/Black Swan

The group will be rebranding/redebuting as B.S (Black Swan) it is NOT a new group. It is a minx to dreamcatcher situation. Therefore I recommend the title of page changes it’s name and Hyeme, Youngheun, Leia, Fatou and Judy are made current members and a new section is added. I thought I’d check this in case anyone disagrees. Bibian48 (talk) 22:35, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

Black Swan should have their own page. The pages for Baby Vox and Baby Vox Re.V were not merged and neither were the pages for Seeya and The Seeya. While Black Swan is a rebrand in writing they are a different group. If RaNia was around for 2 years then I could see why the pages should be merged but since they were around for almost 10 years prior to the official disbandment in the letters written by the members they should have different pages. Magicmike191 (talk) 14:22, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

BLACKSWAN-RANIA merged

Both BLACKSWAN and RANIA's pages should NOT be merged. This causes YouTube profiles, Google information about both groups and so on to be confusing and a mess. DR Music Entertainment has never pointed out that BLACKSWAN was intended to be RANIA rebranded. Not to mention that former BLACKSWAN member, Hyeme, stated on her letter that BLACKSWAN would be "a new group". This page should remain RANIA's page. It's time to fix that. Lionel del Rosario (talk) 18:33, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

There's no evidence that this isn't a rebrand either. Hyeme only said it was a new name, not that this "a new group" unless this is not a correct translation. Their album name is literally "Goodbye Rania". You might want to talk to K-popguardian (talk · contribs) who merged the page s https://twitter.com/blackswan_drent/status/1276409939175419904/photo/2 Evaders99 (talk) 23:04, 4 April 2021 (UTC)

Stop Merging Blackswan and Rania

There is proof that Rania and Blackswan are not the same. A simple search on Naver will tell you they are different. Merging their pages is only causing misinformation and confusion. It’s sabotaging Blackswan. Snac snac (talk) 01:20, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

Ah they do that with every group. Highlight and Beast are always separated in everything in Korean media despite being the same group, likewise with Dreamcatcher and MINX. - K-popguardian (talk) 04:50, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

The pages should be separate. Baby Vox turned into Rania this same way. The baby vox article even mentions how Rania would have been the next generation but they changed the name so it would be a new group. This is the same thing that happened in the jump from BP RaNia to BlackSwan. Let's please keep it separate. 166.137.115.21 (talk) 19:43, 24 January 2022 (UTC)

Leia, again

although there's no confimation from DR Music that Leia has left the group, is it worth at least mentioning she is nowhere to be seen in their recent comeback "Karma"? Also might as well add their newly released music. Thanks! Whatdidyouzei (talk) 13:06, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

Why yall Blackswan fans think that they are RaNia when they clearly are not??

You all need to stop reversing the page and put Blackswan like the NEW RaNia. The company and most of all, the members, said in an interview that they don't want to be RaNia, represented like RaNia and they are NOT. They are NOT promoting RaNia songs and they don't see RaNia as past members. So we need to create a new page for RaNia but this one needs to be only about Blackswan. Roserkiller (talk) 20:15, 11 September 2022 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roserkiller (talkcontribs)

@Roserkiller: Please cite wp:reliable sources making the distinction. Perhaps create a different article for Rania? Adakiko (talk) 21:34, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
@Roserkiller: :@Adakiko: This is a conversation that's already been had multiple times since 2020, as seen above in the talk page. The consensus has always been that Blackswan is a continuation of Rania and thus they should continue to operate on the same page. - K-popguardian (talk) 05:31, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
But Blackswan members said it in interviews they don't want to be seen as RaNia (and also nobody understand anything and it clearly damages the group reputation). We need to do another page for RaNia and separate both. Roserkiller (talk) 18:41, 6 July 2023 (UTC)

Change profile picture

Please can someone change that profile picture? This was Blackswan in 2021 and we are in 2023. thank you. Roserkiller (talk) 15:19, 31 July 2023 (UTC)

@Roserkiller Please be WP:CIVIL and don't WP:SHOUT. For the lead image, we cannot just any image however we like on English Wikipedia, read WP:Image use policy and Commons:Licensing. The current image despite "old" is still relevant for English Wikipedia context per MOS:LEADIMAGE and is currently the only image available that meets the listed guidelines and policies. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 15:29, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
But we definitively need to change it because it is misinformation. Putting the old lineup on the front is saying this is the lineup that is still active when it is not the case.
I think we need to find an image of Blackswan's new comeback "That Karma" that they did in may 2023. They are plenty of image teasers that, i think, can be used Roserkiller (talk) 17:31, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
@Roserkiller If there are copyrighted-free image available, someone would have changed it. At this point of time, there isn't any available that is suitable for usage here. And "plenty of image teasers that, i think, can be used", you clearly didn't read WP:Image use policy and Commons:Commons:Licensing. If you really wanted it to be removed from the Infobox then my proposal is to have the lead image removed from the Infobox and moved to the body where it's more relevant since the image is no longer accurate as of 2023, in short, there won't be any image in the Infobox since there isn't any suitable available at this point of time. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 17:44, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
Done, image moved. If a more recent image with an acceptable free license can be found, it can be put in the infobox. @Roserkiller: You are free to photograph them yourself and upload your own images under a free license, after sending permission to VRT; see WP:CONSENT for more information.
