No Shaq?[edit]

Why is there no mention of Shaq???? He's in this movie!!!! 76.116.170.226 (talk) 01:25, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Some editors do not like to include long detailed cast lists, but you were right Shaq should at least get a mention. At the moment he is included at the end of the cast section where there is a note listing various other cast. -- 109.76.203.83 (talk) 06:31, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unfair Critical Response[edit]

This film has a VERY unfair Critical Response, the Movie has just aired on Sky Premier and the film actually was very good. Its funny and romantic and its one of the rare Adam Sandler movies that is enjoyable. 188.222.73.150 (talk) 22:20, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You can disagree and have your own opinion but you can't have your own facts. RT 14%, MC 31%, if anything this article doesn't adequately reflect how negative the reviews were. Having said that it did get a CinemaScore grade A- which indicates it did deliver what opening weekend audiences were expecting, and several of the reviews did say that this is a very conventional family film, while still being very critical. I've added a few more reviews to try and make it clearer exactly what critics didn't like about the film but also mention some of what they did like.
With scores that low, the article could still include more negative reviews, especially if a critic is reasonably notable and has something insightful to add that hasn't already been covered. -- 109.76.203.83 (talk) 06:31, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Filming locations[edit]

There seems to be a lot of doubt about whether or not this movie was filmed anywhere in the State of Georgia. Is this going to be one of those instances where citations involve using a copy of the DVD to get screen caps as evidence? ---------User:DanTD (talk) 12:04, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There's no real doubt. While it would be nice to have specific references for all the exact filming locations, it was obnoxious to add all those citation needed requests to the Filming locations. Six years later and no one has taken those citation needed requests seriously, neither have the request been filled nor (almost certainly true) information been deleted. The scenes set in America (one reviewer complained "Coraci indulges in a bit too much stateside setup before the action shifts to its main setting"[1]) were filmed in Georgia. Films made in Georgia normally get tax breaks and include a prominent "filmed in Georgia" logo in the end credits, I'm sure this film was no exception. Variety said filming began in May in Atlanta and South Africa[2] (source already included to explain that the film was briefly retitled "Familymoon").
I think those citation needed requests are unnecessary and I would remove them.[3] But if anyone is really bored they could probably find references to fill them, e.g. Hooters, Lawrenceville [4] -- 109.76.203.83 (talk) 06:31, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
