Untitled[edit]

Judy Bloom is actually Judy Blume, so I removed her from the list. It could be argued that it's the same name (especially as the article notes she's of Jewish descent), but then it could be argued that Blum is the same name too... Input? --Galaxiaad 17:20, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps Judy Blume should be mentioned somewhere on this page in case someone who has only heard the name ends up here. Likewise Steven J. Blum. What is Wikipedia's official policy on this? --- Trevie 17:43, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In the Smith article, it's handled by a "See also" for each alternative, such as Smyth. --Orange Mike 14:43, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article Rename Request[edit]

Can someone please rename the article title to "Bloom (disambiguation)", since it is a disambiguation page? Thank you. 93.172.110.218 (talk) 15:22, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Generally, they only have "(disambiguation)" if there is an article on some specific meaning of the term (usually the most common meaning) at the title that is the term by itself. But generally, if you want a page renamed but can't do it yourself or are not sure whether it's the right thing to do, please list it on WP:RM. -- Smjg (talk) 14:32, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This article has existed for some years without any contention. I would oppose a move unless there is a strong overriding reason for such a move.  Velella  Velella Talk   14:58, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BLOOM software[edit]

"An emerging language model called BLOOM attempts to address issues of bias, transparency and supervision [in AI].

BLOOM is being developed by an international collaboration of hundreds of academics and researchers. The technology will be open source which means there is visibility under the hood." - Dialogic #271 Kdammers (talk) 21:17, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

OK. When there is a robust Wikipedia article about this software supported by reliable and independent sources which convinces other editors of the notability of the subject, then please do add a disambiguation link to this article page - but not before.  Velella  Velella Talk   21:35, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank You for the quick response. There are articles on it in the Guardian (https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/jun/19/forget-sentience-the-worry-is-that-ai-copies-human-bias) and in Nature (https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/jun/19/forget-sentience-the-worry-is-that-ai-copies-human-bias) as well as at dcotrends (https://www.cdotrends.com/story/16577/new-open-science-initiative-setting-ai-free), so I hope some-one in the field writes up an article soon.
