Why the "Airport connections" section?[edit]

What's the purpose of the "Airport connections" section? Unless the Blue Water makes a direct connection to the airport, or there's a unique service from the Chicago Union Station for Blue Water passengers, the section should be deleted (or at least moved to a separate article or section of an article, such as one about the Chicago Union Station or Chicago public transit). 66.234.222.23 (talk) 21:49, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agreed; there's nothing special about the Blue Water in this regard. I'm removing the section. Mackensen (talk) 00:41, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cultural reference not supported[edit]

If anything, the lyrics cited prove this song was not written about a Michigan train, e.g. Jesse James never robbed a train in Michigan. Long after William Jennings Bryan was dead, Martin Seligson was writing "folk songs" for a number of 1950s and 1960s acts, including the Kingston Trio (Oleanna, Mark Twain) and Jimmy Dean (Deep Blue Sea). No train by this name seems to have ever existed in Michigan until Amtrak's Blue Water in 1974, and this song about a fictional train seems to have been an attempt to re-capture the financial success enjoyed by the Kingston Trio's M.T.A. Note that the song was released by The Brothers Four in 1962, twelve years before the train line appears to have been inaugurated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Carol the Dabbler (talkcontribs) 15:04, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
