Bob Hall is not a professional politician so I think we should change the title of this from Bob Hall (Texas politician) to Bob Hall (Texas Senator).ATexasRanger (talk) 22:52, 5 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

See here for context. We don't really use job titles in the page-title. The parentheses is just to differentiate from other Bob Halls. In this case there is another politician with the same name, so we have to add "Texas" to differentiate. CorporateM (Talk) 03:26, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Questionable reference[edit]

The last line in the "Political Career" section reads, "Months into his first term, Hall has set himself apart from his colleagues in a decisive manner" it is attributed to a Houston Chronicle article. Out of curiosity, I followed the link and the article does not seem to be appropriately summarized in the Wikipedia article. The "quote" misses the tone and substance of the Chronicle's reference to Senator Hall.

Here's the only passage from the article about Senator Hall:

Consider state Sen. Bob Hall, R-Edgewood, who's expending time and energy this session pushing a bill that's probably unconstitutional, even if it actually became law. Hall's bill, which passed the Senate last week, would allow the governor to develop an interstate compact agreement with other states to allow the states to enforce federal immigration laws. In the unlikely event that such a compact was approved by Congress, it would carry the weight of federal law. "The federal government is not enforcing law on criminals," Hall contended last week. "They are letting them go." Despite passing the Senate, Hall's bill is going nowhere. [1]

I'm not an active editor so I don't know if this submission is appropriate. Thanks for any feedback and guidance.
