Naming scheme exception[edit]

The claim in the head section that it is the "only Boeing-designed production jetliner that does not follow the 7x7 naming scheme" has no citations. A version of the claim was originally added anonymously in https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Boeing_720&oldid=828761388

I was able to find some (perhaps unreliable) secondary sources that made similar, but not identical, assertions, to the current one, usually with the a caveat similar to "to this date".

This seems like original research and trivia that does not belong in the head section.

It was added here without explanation. Some naming text is in the body but none supports this claim, entry removed. Nimbus (Cumulus nimbus floats by) 08:47, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
