Czech connection?

Ànyone know if there is any connection between Bohs and the Prague team of the same name (FC Bohemians Praha)?--Ekilfeather 15:33, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Youth Section

Bohs have not been using DCU facilities for nearly a year now. They are currently based close to the airport in the Royal College of Surgeons.

Nickname

Obviously a fan of a rival club is being petty and removing the nickname "The Big Club" from the profile page. Please ensure that it remains.

I removed it and will keep doing it. NOBODY bar about 10 internet fans calls Bohs the big club and most of them do it as a laugh. If you can provide any single peice of evidence of its use by anybody other than bohs internet fanns, I'll leave it alone Dodge 12:19, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Evidence as you request is in flags with the nickname on them at all Bohemians games, aswell as the regular reference to the nickname in program articles. I am amazed that you don't know this presuming that you are associated with the club. BohemianMC 14:19, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

As it it mentioned several times on the official website, sung regularly at games and even mentioned sometimes in the press it should remain as a nickname. --Artanevilla (talk) 02:39, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

who's the chair?

Does the club has a website? Also in LM2007 the chair is named Felim O'Reilly, why would that be?

Feilim is the former President.

Origin of name?

Does anyone know about the etymology of the name? I mean, was the club founded by Czech guest workers (I guess it wasn't), or what? --Alib (talk) 18:22, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Club name in Irish

Seems to be wrong? Should be this according to club documents that I have:

"An Cumann Peile Bóiṫéimeaċ"

E.g.:

File:Bohs-gaeilge.PNG.jpg

Transliterated to replace the séimhiú diacritics (dots over t and c implying a following 'h') with an explicit 'h':

"An Cumann Peile Bóithéimeach"

Unless

"Cumann Peile Bóithéamaigh"

is also an acceptable version although the one that I cite is the only one that I have ever seen used on official club documentation.
