Cleanup needed[edit]

This article makes my eyes sore just trying to read it. It violates the Wipedia Manual of Style in practically every paragraph. Serious copyediting is needed from top to bottom. It violates capitalisation rules in the section headers, has repetitive, redundant Wikilinks for the same word or phrase and repeats trite phrases. Please, if you want to contribute to this article, familiarise your self with the style rules first. —QuicksilverT @ 19:11, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request Edit: Please fix incorrect information on the list in the side box[edit]

- The correct "Revenue": $3.5 M [1] [2]

- Remove the "Subsidiaries" section

- The correct "Number of employees": 7,600 (2015) [3] [4]

- In the section "Services": remove "Recreational Vehicle Financing"

- In the section "Products": add "side-by-side vehicles" to the Can-Am brand; remove "SportBoats" from "Sea-Doo"; Remove "Johnson Outboards" [5] [6] [7] [8]

- In the section "Key people": add Laurent Beaudoin and Joseph-Armand Bombardier [9] [10] [11]

- In the section "Industry": There is no need for a list. It should just read "Recreational Powersports vehicles." If one keeps a list, it will need to be updated because BRP has many more products than those listed on this page. [12]

Done Made requested changes. Updated financials with 2015 numbers. Didn't add JA Bombardier to "Key People" because he's already listed as founder. Removed list from "Industry" and replaced with a broad term to describe BRP's industry. Thank you for your contributions! Ajpolino (talk) 02:42, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Change offocial name of the company to BRP (Company)[edit]

Here is proof that the name has indeed changed to BRP: http://www.brp.com/en-ca/company/news/brps-new-six-passenger-can-am-defender-max-family-vehicles-reimagines-utility-side-side (Official Press Release) http://www.brp.com/en-ca/company/about-brp/profile http://www.lesaffaires.com/bourse/analyses-de-titres/a-surveiller-couche-tard-brp-et-autocanada/586176

Could the change be made from Bombardier Recreational Products to BRP (Company). I am a paid-contributor therefore I don't know if I'm allowed to ask but: Would it be possible to create a BRP (Company) page instead, that Bombardier Recreational Products would be redirected to? - Chloepayen (talk) 15:32, 1 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Chloepayen, the first source includes the text: "Ski-Doo, Lynx, Sea-Doo, Evinrude, Rotax, Can-Am, Spyder, Defender and the BRP logo are trademarks of Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. or its affiliates.". This seems to indicate that "Bombardier Recreational Products Inc" was still the legal name when this was drafted, and BRP merely a "nickname" or abbreviation. Just as "International Business Machines" was informally known as "IBM" long before they changed their company name to just IBM. I would want to see something that says "Bombardier Recreational Products has changed its name to BRP" or "BRP, formerly known as Bombardier Recreational Products" or something of the sort, that explicitly mentions the change.
