Having written this and Jessie DePriest tea at the White House, it has now dawned on me that there should be an article covering the whole history of hospitality to African Americans in the White House (tellingly, it can comfortably fit into one article). There are good sources for all the prior and subsequent teas, receptions, dinners, etc. Any objections to merging them to White House hospitality to African Americans? --Anthonyhcole (talk · contribs · email) 16:26, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I object. Logically, this article should cover hospitality up to the present. Have you any idea how many African Americans have visited the White House in total? StAnselm (talk) 06:06, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This dinner is enormously notable and was exteemepy controversial. Definitely independently notable. FloridaArmy (talk) 11:21, 25 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

The images for this article are lacking. This lithograph emphasizes the significance of the dinner and has been reproduced coubtless times since. FloridaArmy (talk) 11:21, 25 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
