Relative Importance of Song[edit]

This article, by its very existence, seems to imply that the song is of great importance. No other fight songs that I can find have their own Wikipedia articles, and all other Yale fight songs merit only a few short sentences on the Yale page. Why does Boola Boola, and not Bulldog, Down the Field, or Bingo, have its own, extensive article? I'm not sure if this article merits deletion, but I hope this at least justifies my change of "the fight song" to "a fight song."

Lyrics Citation[edit]

Can someone please site a source for the lyrics?

Early reference[edit]

I have no opinion on the importance of this article. But if it stays, I'd like to add that "Boola Boola" is mentioned in the New York Times, 1901, in a report on Yale’s success against Pennsylvania in a hockey match.

“A small band of students on the Yale side of the ring sang their college songs. “More work for the undertaker and no hope for Pennsy” was the theme of one refrain, while the stately measures of “Boola-boola” were pleasing to the auditors.” New York Times, February 3, 1901 RLamb (talk) 14:44, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
