The result of the move request was: Moved to Borough of Pendle per nom, dab page created at Pendle. No such user (talk) 13:39, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

PendleBorough of Pendle – Per WP:NATURAL and WP:COMMONNAME the district is usually called "Pendle District"[1] or "Borough of Pendle" in a generic context even though "Pendle" is the preferred label by the OS, presumably when its clear from the context that you're referring to the district. The district is named after Pendle Hill and the etymology is at that article. "Pendle" should then become a DAB, the DAB can also include Pendle (UK Parliament constituency), Pendle College, Pendle witches, Pendle Water, Forest of Pendle, Pendle Grit, Pendle Vale College and George Pendle. I created Pendle (disambiguation) but the move has not been completed yet, since there are ~100 links left to retarget on Special:Whatlinkshere/Pendle. I plan to continue tomorrow, or if anyone wants to lend a hand... In retrospect, I'm not sure if the move was wise, since most links to Pendle refer to either the borough or the area largely coterminous with it, but I suppose it's spilled milk now. @Crouch, Swale: Thank you, much appreciated. That's called "putting your money where your mouth is". :) No such user (talk) 07:00, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
