History[edit]

The sources added in today make no reference of Slavs turning to Islam in the 14th-15th centuries; this appears to be a creation and hence is of little benefit; Additionally, I'd want to point out that the phrase "Slavic Muslim" is ambiguous and does not refer only to Bosniaks. I have reworded parts which aren't discussed by the sources. This particular point doesn't appear in the sources: Following the Ottoman expansion into Kosovo in the 14th century, many Slavs living in Kosovo converted to Islam. What they discuss is: Under the Ottoman Empire a large number of speakers of Slavic languages (predominantly the language known as Serbo-Croatian) adopted Islam. They formed a majority of the republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and of the Sandzak region of Serbia and Montenegro immediately to the north of Kosovo. The quote doesn't suggest that many Kosovo Slavs converted to Islam after the 14th century. --Maleschreiber (talk) 20:13, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So that you are aware Maleschreiber, your addition Another includes Slavs which already resided in Kosovo and may have been part of other communities like the Gorani is not discussed in the sources and is of your own opinion. This will be removed as the source states that the Gorani are also Muslim and Slav, but distinct from the Bosniaks. ElderZamzam (talk) 21:49, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
