The term Bound Water is also used in waste water treatment to reflect the water content of bacteria that form part of sewage sludge, limiting the solids concentration that that be achieved in sludge withdrawn from a digester (for example). Since this is a separate subject area than soil, a disambiguation page may be necessary when the waste water page is written.
