Redirect to Bletsoe[edit]

My reasoning for changing to a redirect: All the information in this article is duplicated in the Bletsoe article.

This article is just two sentences and is unlikely to ever be much more than this seeing as Bourne End has a very small population.

It's only arguably a seperate settlement, it is just a road in Bletsoe slightly outside the village proper and the road happens to be quite long with some farms and isolated dwellings and a nearby Storage depot.

Other ends in Bletsoe such as North End (which has an actual sign pointing to it) dont have articles. Eopsid (talk) 21:56, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

However Bourne End has some history surrounding it as a separate settlement whereas the other ends do not so much. I believe it deserves its own article. Noticably it is listed on many internet maps as a separate settlement Bleaney (talk) 00:00, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
North End and a multiple of other ends are also listed on internet maps. For example going onto Google Maps and looking at Riseley (a village neighbouring Bletsoe parish) there is no Riseley label but one for Top End. Now Top End doesnt have a wikipedia article and I have lived in that area for my entire life and have never heard anyone refer to anywhere as Top End (but a quick google reveals it's a hamlet in Riseley parish but why google maps feels it takes preference over the larger village of Riseley I don't know).
If this article can become more than just two sentences than it will have a better case for it staying.
These links found from googling bourne end Bletsoe history are a starting point for this article's expansion (or the Bletsoe article's expansion in case this stays a redirect). [1][2] Eopsid (talk) 11:07, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
