Brace Beemer was voice of Long Ranger as early as 1938 because my father, Erskine Campbell, worked for him at WJZ in Detroit that year, as a continuity writer and a sound-effects man, also ran a farm Beemer owned outside nearby Pontiac, Michigan. My sister and I, pupils in a one-room elementary schoolhouse outside Pontiac, often visited our father and "Uncle" Brace while they did the show.

What about his World War I experience?[edit]

Brace Beemer's birth year is given as 1903. However, his grave marker. as show on the "Find-A-Grave" website (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=7292690) clearly says 1902. Name in lead[edit]

I have reverted the change that put Brace Bell Beemer in the lead. The article cited gives his name as Marcus "Brace" Beemer.Eddie Blick (talk) 21:50, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
