Notability[edit]

Per the general notability guideline No subject is notable without significant coverage in reliable sources that are INDEPENDENT OF THE SUBJECT. Yes, The N and CW think that everyone who has ever gotten a paycheck from them is notable. Wikipedia does not agree. My employer has several pages of bio material on me and I am not necessarily notable because of it. - SummerPhD (talk) 22:18, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Asserting notability does not create notability. Per the General Notability Guideline: "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability; it is not enough to simply assert that a topic is notable without substantiating that claim.
