Tom Dean. I have been updating Brian Stableford's entry for the last year or two, so I guess it's about time I started listing my revisions here in the Talk section...

19 May 2011: Finally got around to updating the Nonfiction section, using as references ISFDB.org, The Locus Index to Science Fiction, Abebooks, Google, Amazon, etc. Deleted the secondary listing of Theoretical Works, whose existence seemed unnecessary. Deleted entry for The Mysteries of Science Fiction (1977), whose existence proved unverifiable.

A few weeks ago, I added the listing for Stableford's novel The Plurality of Worlds, which had previously been listed as forthcoming; I was unable, however, to verify the listed publication date of Sep. 2009. In fact, I have been unable to prove this book's existence circa March 2011, although I've decided to just leave it be. Tom Dean (talk) 17:54, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I finally received a copy of A Plurality of Worlds, and the copyright page states "MMX", so the book's entry has been changed to a generic "2010". Tom Dean (talk) 17:44, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just finished reading his new novel, Nature's Shift: A Tale of the Biotech Revolution, and I see no reason why it can't be placed as the eighth Emortality novel, given that the House of Usher is mentioned in The Fountains of Youth. For some months now, I've noticed that someone (or something) started an Uncollected Stories section, then only included one story in it, when there are probably two dozen or more such stories that apply. Collections: I have this day added a new collection, The Golden Fleece and Other Tales of the Biotech Revolution. ISFDB lists this book as being released on Feb. 29, 2012, but I have held a March release date, since this book was not available on Amazon any earlier than yesterday, and is still not available at Barnes and Noble. I have changed the link to The Brian Stableford Website, which is now up and running again, with a new webmaster. This website shows that collection 23 will be called The Legacy of Erich Zann and Other Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos, (Borgo Press 2012). Tom Dean (talk) 16:07, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Update: A few days ago, I received a memo in My Talk about my posting of a Bibliography in the entry of Nancy Kress. Apparently, some consider the entry to be "gigantic" and too daunting to a "casual" Wikipedia user , whatever that is. Consequently, I will be spending the next week or so creating collapsible tables for the entries that I have edited at Wikipedia, including Stableford's here. Well, damn... I've got somebody telling me that my bibliographies are "gigantic" and "daunting"... What to do? If the bibliographic info for Nancy Kress is considered "gigantic" and "unsightly" to the "casual" Wikipedia user (whatever that is), I'll bet the one here for Stableford sent some people off the deep end. Having said that, I just finished changing back the entries for Fred Saberhagen, Pat Cadigan, Nancy Kress & Charles Sheffield.
