Groundbreaking how?[edit]

This article promises something it doesn't deliver. The lead section says the movie "served as a touchstone for discussion about women in comedy", and an Apatow quote in a later section says, "we didn't think we were breaking any new ground." I assume that those two statements are related, but nowhere is either suggestion developed. Exactly what kind of discussion did the movie trigger, and (if this has a different answer) what new ground did it break? These details may be in some of the cited references, but the reader shouldn't have to look elsewhere to find answers to questions raised by this article. The article should answer every question it raises, or the suggestive comments should be removed.--Jim10701 (talk) 04:34, 15 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
