Notability - nominated for speedy deletion (Jan 07)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Brighton Ballet Theater / School of Russian Ballet, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

First, may I suggest that you sign your posts on Talk pages with four tildes: ~~~~.
Second, I assume from your username that you are associated with this institution. If so, please review our conflict of interest guidelines. I recommend you not edit this article and make suggestions on this Talk page.
Third, the primary issue with the article as it currently stands is that it lacks any verifiable assertion of notability. In fact, it lacks any citations or references supporting any of the claims or assertions made in the article. If you know of documents we can use as references, please let us know and we'll add them into the article. --ElKevbo 23:38, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

productions[edit]

The productions section labels the name of the ballet "by" composer, yet the composers did not create the ballets, they created the music. Inclusion of resources noting the choreographers would be better. 207.237.33.133 (talk) 04:35, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
