RAF unit identities[edit]

I can't find the right answer at the moment, but the inclusion of RAF 54 Squadron with Vulcans on this page must be a mistake. It has been a Jaguar unit based at Coltishall for ages, certainly before 1982. Dyvroeth 15:51, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

When the RAF, the Fleet Air Arm and the Army Air Corps are grouped together, they are normally called the British air services, not the British air forces. I propose that this page be moved to British air services in the Falklands War. Greenshed 23:01, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd never thought of that before! I'm PRO-move. Necessary Evil 00:17, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Format[edit]

Is there a particular reason why Fleet Air Arm has a table and RAF did not ? --Jor70 (talk) 03:26, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because the FAA made the principal contribution to the campaign. Though I agree one is warranted. Justin talk 11:41, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
ADD looking again, the information could be presented in a table and it would be much clearer. Justin talk 11:51, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion[edit]

There is chilean editor trying to edit Argentine air forces in the Falklands War‎ with a list of things that the FAA/COAN could not did. Is anyone here supporting the same idea for this article ? .e.g 1) Harriers could not destroy Stanley runway, 2) Vulcans neither, 3) Harrier can not prevent daily Hercules transport flights to Stanley 4) The British armed forces do not have enough helicopters , etc, etc Personally, I think is all crap but we need a concensus according rules --Jor70 (talk) 21:57, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Per my comments there provided there is a NPOV text with due coverage of all the issues, then that might be appropriate. What isn't is relying on a single source without analysis coverage all issues per WP:DUE. Justin talk 11:43, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is a mis-match between the number of losses of aircraft in the "Air Campaign" listings, and the in the casualty list. Can anyone put an explanation into the text please? Markjeff (talk) 09:34, 12 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
