The Kingdom (2007)[edit]

Last night, in several theatres around the U.S., there was a sneak preview of The Kingdom. Ms. Langton was to have played the wife of Kyle Chandler's character; however, most of her scenes apparently wound up on the editing room floor. RahadyanS 14:50, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed tags[edit]

I had a conversation in #wikipedia-en-help with a person who stated she was Brooke Langton. She stated that she is not married and has never been married to Randy Zisk, nor does she have any brothers. I advised her that because the LA Times article states that she is married to him, and they're normally considered a reliable source, the best I can do is put a [disputed] tag on those statements and then she can contact WMF directly for further assistance. I was unable to find any specific sources that state she is currently single. —Darkwind (talk) 08:21, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Forgot to mention I removed the statement about her having brothers because it was only referenced to a YouTube video, which is not a reliable source. —Darkwind (talk) 08:25, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I endorse actions with Ms. Langton.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 08:36, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
After further review, I saw that info was only added today, and doesn't seem to be truly verifiable anywhere else. I've removed the info along the guidelines of WP:BLPEDIT since it was poorly sourced. —Darkwind (talk) 08:37, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think we stick with the Los Angeles Times until we have further info or she makes the appropriate moves with WMF.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 08:41, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
For what it's worth, she has posted a section on the HD: Wikipedia:Help_desk#Hello_My_name_is_Brooke_Langton
She wrote 'I am in the process of getting their information corrected', so I suggest commenting out the info for now. When we're 100% sure that it's actually her (e.g. she files a correction on iCorrect), the info can be removed. Kayau (talk · contribs) 10:10, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Additional note, she emailed OTRS (Ticket:2013010610002317) stating the same. She also included a forwarded email to the L.A. Times, so it appears she is actively trying to get it resolved. Per BLP, I think it would be best if we leave it of for now. ~ Matthewrbowker Make a comment! 03:22, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Comment - The LA Times just corrected themselves here. ~ Matthewrbowker Make a comment! 23:42, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I trimmed it further. The LA times say they got the info from a real estate agent. Another source is a company that makes expensive closets. A caption in a photo is not RS for the name of the son. Another source says she has a husband of a different name. IMDB, TV Guide etc may not be RS but they don't mention a husband at all which seems strange. She can't legally be married to two people so we should leave both out until we get a real RS.--Canoe1967 (talk) 17:18, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved
LA Times corrected themselves. I also added and inline note to never add the wrong name to the infobox.--Canoe1967 (talk) 00:01, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ink[edit]

I have just edited about two lines, in which I created numerous links and corrected many misspellings. I deleted mention of the movie Ink, in which she was said to have starred with Djimon Hounsou. The movie exists, as does he, but our fairly extensive article on the film does not list either of them among the cast members. J S Ayer (talk) 19:54, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
