on both. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 19:15, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Redrose64: as the source page has been deleted this doesn't provide the necessary attribution as the deleted content cannot be seen except to admins. WP:RUD suggests attribution in the method used above i.e. in edit summary on the article and by talk page attribution of the editors involved. Nthep (talk) 19:26, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I question whether any of this is relevant. The majority of the new information was added by me and was not taken from the deleted article. After Nthep's edit there was only one sentence from the deleted article not covered by my source. That has subsequently had all the dodgy specific facts removed from it leaving exactly zero copied text. SpinningSpark 19:49, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
To an extent I agree - however the AFD outcome was to merge any salvageable text or considered potentially salvageable text i.e. that which wasn't demonstrably false. So some content got merged and that needs attribution. That it is subsequently edited out because it's unverified isn't the point, there are numerous articles where there is little or none of the original text left but the attribution remains in the history. The same needs to apply here and the editors of the text merged in are required to be attributed. It's really only user:JoshG24 and if anyone else who is listed wants to remove their name from the list above on the basis that none of their contributions were merged that's up to them, maybe I was overly cautious but I listed everyone who had edited the deleted article. It's done let's all move on see if the article can be improved. Nthep (talk) 20:05, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
