why was this removed?? just wondering Cfitzart 04:40, 14 October 2005 (UTC):[reply]

- 2005 Residents Association president: Andrew Hargrave

- 2005 Sub-Dean's: Jarrah Bassal and Elizabeth Stevens

Firstly, because it was tacked onto the bottom in a way that broke the article's formatting, and secondly because it really didn't fit with the rest of the article. Perhaps if it were included in the text. Ambi 07:58, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sound Lockdown Information Services?[edit]

I have removed the information on the Sound Lockdown Information Services, for the second time this evening - after the first removal I had advised the contributer that it did not comply with Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a free host, blog, webspace provider or social networking site. He/she persisted in readding it. Any other views - ie that the information is not excluded by WP:Not?--A Y Arktos\talk 11:37, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Former residents[edit]

"Citation needed": they were there when I was there m.e. 05:23, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this is a suitable citation Khing 13:51, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

one annoyance is that records of past residents are held within memory of residents. I'll be watching out for any records though. hopefully i can get them --Khing 11:42, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quiggin should be very easy to verify - ask him on his talk page! Rebecca 12:58, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Aah, the epitome of WP:OR. If it hasn't been published then it isn't verifiable.Garrie 09:10, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notable former residents section[edit]

i've removed this section due to a query on the notability of the people on the list. We need to come to a consensus on the notability of these people, as well as acquire verifiability. List is reproduced below. Khing (talk) 12:29, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IMO Jeff Kennett and Ross Garnaut are the only people on the list with a reasonably high public profile. We don't have any citations for them though, so it's kind of a moot point. I've always disliked alumni lists anyway, because these notability and citation debates always become issues Bugsydash (talk) 11:37, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Coat of Arms[edit]

would an inclusion of an image the bruce hall coat of arms on this site (as obtained from, say, its website) qualify as fair use for say, a representation of its coat of arms as well as a description? Khing 07:06, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

While you could describe it in lay terms you couldn't describe it heraldically from an image - a heraldic description should come from a reliable source.Garrie 09:11, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

notability[edit]

removed notability from issues header. many other residential colleges have their own page. this one just needs improvement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Khing (talkcontribs) 12:30, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WP:OTHERSTUFF is no reason to remove the tag - I can find very little Gnews hits - this one mentions it but it is not significant. I will replace the tag, if you wish to remove it again, please list here the coverage that meets WP:GNG Codf1977 (talk) 12:35, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
