Can you check Image : Bryan charnley 1.jpg. I would like to add a description, as requested, but I can't find this file. Has there been a typo? James Charnley, if you follow the red link to Image:Bryan charnley 1.jpg, you will see that it was deleted at the request of the uploader on 14 February 2008. The self-portrait has been deleted on Commons. It can be undeleted if you are able to arrange for an acceptable statement of permission to be sent to OTRS (please include the same ticket number as was used for previous permissions, 2017091410025195, in the subject field). If you go to www.bryancharnley.info/Contacts you will see that the copyright permission to use information from this site has been extended to Wikipedia. Thus: "Copyright 2017 Bryan Charnley - Creative Commons BY-SA 3.0". This will solve the issue with copyright on Bryan Charnley's Wikipedia entry. I would also like to add that I am deeply upset by this whole affair. Kirsten Tambling spent a lot of time putting her information on Wikipedia. She used information from her own research with additional material from me. There has been any copyright infringement as it affects The Estate of Bryan Charnley. I have provided Wikipedia copyright permission under a compatible in order that the text removed from Bryan Charnley's entry by JLAN is replaced. Please check www.bryancharnley.info and Wikipedia permissions. Done, Ruthven, and thank you for handling that ticket. That takes care of text by Kirsten Tambling (where I anyway did not notice any apparent copyvio, perhaps because I don't have that booklet). The problem of the previous text copied from www.bryancharnley.info has now been resolved by the addition of a CC-BY SA 3.0 licence to those pages, so I'm going to ask TonyBallioni if he would kindly un-hide the revisions he very kindly hid before. Diannaa, is it possible that text in the two revisions that you hid was in fact also sourced to https://www.bryancharnley.info, which is now compatibly licenced?

I'm sorry for any anxiety or displeasure my removal of the earlier text here may have caused to James Charnley or to Ktamb – our copyright policy is quite strict, and is of course designed for the protection of copyright owners as well as Wikipedia itself. Ruthven as an OTRS agent, I see nothing in that ticket that would affect my revdel or the text copyright status. If Diannaa has verified the licensing on the website itself, that is fine, but this is not an OTRS permission. Update: nevermind, I see what you are referencing. Sorry for the confusion. Removal of text from this page[edit]

Hi, I'm not sure why all my edits to this page made back in 2016 have been removed? It seems that there has been some issue with copyright violation over an image, but all of my written material was good quality, useful information referencing sources that are not freely available on the internet (i.e., not just the bryancharnley.info website). I don't want to spend hours re-adding lots of text if it's just going to be removed (and surely it exists in the back-end somewhere anyway? Kytamb (talk) 07:44, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reinstating text by Kirsten Tambling on Bryan Charnley Wikipedia entry.[edit]

 I have allowed images and text to be used from wwww. Bryancharnley.info under Creative Commons BY - SA 3.0. so that the images that appear on Bryan Charnley Wikipedia are all legal and clear of any copyright infringements. I have done this so that the administrator JLAN is satisfied that no procedural protocols have been breached. My only request, on behalf of Kirsten Tambling, is that her text is reinstated. If JLAN could just do this then the knowledge base that Wikipedia promotes will be enhanced and the many people who request information on this artist can be informed. Thank You in advance. Has the post I put regrading reinstatement of Kirsten Tambling's text on Bryan Charnley's Wikipedia entry been read? I am a little confused as to how the discussion works and how it is possible to establish a dialogue between administrator and contributor. My endeavour is to restore the Wikipedia page that has been taken down. Please let me know what I must I do to facilitate this.
