Removing Buffalo Creek from this list was an error. This stream is known for the most of its length as "Buffalo Creek" and only is "Buffalo River" for the last few miles. This error will be corrected shortly. Stepp-Wulf 00:21, 6 April 2006 (UTC),[reply]

  • This is a disambiguation page for pages with the name "Buffalo Creek" in the title, the page you refer to does not meet that criteria. However, I added it to the "see also" heading because of the point you make. Thanks. Gjs238 02:49, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Buffalo Creek" may not be exactly in the title, but it is emphasized and captioned in the article. Since the purpose of the disambiguation page is to guide the viewer to those places called Buffalo Creek, you did not do a service by altering my entry. On the other hand, also referencing Buffalo River was an important contribution. Stepp-Wulf 02:52, 8 April 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Buffalo Creek (New York)[edit]

My inclusion of Buffalo Creek, NY was reverted[1]. Buffalo Creek in New York is a tributary of the Buffalo River. It is separate and not the same as the river. The Creek is only discussed on the River page. Why shouldn't this disambig page point to the place on WP where the Creek is discussed?

Also, why remove the tributary description for the Illinois creek? LaTeeDa (talk) 22:41, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
