Requested move 26 June 2018[edit]

The result of the move request was: not moved. The proposed title would narrow the scope of the article. Hazing is an initiation ritual for new recruits which may involve bullying, while bullying in the military may continue years after initiation. wbm1058 (talk) 16:09, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bullying in the military → Hazing in the military – Hazing is more commonly used in this context; perhaps there's a difference in British vs American English here, alas, most works are using hazing. GBooks count is 2:1, as is GScholar. Two dedicated books on this topic use hazing, not bullying: Kirsten M. Keller; Miriam Matthews; Kimberly Curry Hall (12 August 2015). Opposte per Necrothesp and due to the fact that it would limit the scope of this article. Those two books are both written from an American standpoint and specifically refer to the US military, so it's clear why they would use the term "hazing". It desperately needs more worldwide information, and I can already see how this could shift the article's tone away from the concept and closer towards random examples.
