Discussion on recent edits to Bundelkhand page[edit]

I recently made some edits to the Bundelkhand page, which I believe adhere to Wikipedia's NPOV policy and are supported by reliable sources. However, my changes were reverted by MrOllie
with the comment "blatantly non-neutral."

I would like to open a discussion here to gather input from other editors on whether my changes were indeed non-neutral, and if so, how we can improve the article together. Brief description of changes:

Updated the history section of the Bundelkhand article to include information on the significant dynasties and clans that have shaped the region's history, such as the Chandelas, Khangars, and Bundelas. Added details about their respective rule and contributions to the cultural and political heritage of Bundelkhand. Included references to support the provided information.

need for rewrite[edit]

Prominent Bundelkhandis[edit]

THIS "Mool Sharan Kushwaha" is not prominent, if you think he is , first create his wiki article after that link from here please DON'T WRITE THE CRAP AGAIN AND AGAIN IF YOU CANNOT PROVIDE A FEW THIRD PARTY SOURCES TELLING US WHY HE IS A PROMINANT BUNDELKHANDI? ELSE PLEASE DON'T VANDELIZE THE ARTICLE, PEOPLE LISTED HERE ARE VERY RESPECTED AND YOU CANNOT WRITE ANY NAME WITH THEM WHO DOESN'T HAVE THIRD PARTY SOURCES OR A SEPERATE ARTICLE ON HIM.--Adamstraw99 (talk) 10:11, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed that a red link without a source or article should not be included, but there is no need for the SHOUTING or calling out of an individual in the article. The shouting makes it nearly unreadable, and the same goes for any person added without a source or article, not just the individual. -Needs a lot of editing. Sounds like som biased homework by a young school child. Very low quality. E.g.:

Bundelkhand is very important region in India.It is unique in many aspects .Being the central part of the country it is much safe like heart in our body. The diamond mines in Panna , the temples of Khajuraho, Mahoba ka paan , Jhansi ki rani, Alha-Udal of Mahoba and many other things make it unique .The writer of Ramcharit manas; Goswami Tulsidas,the writer of Mahabharat; Ved Vyas both were born in bundelkhand. Lord Rama lived here for 12 yrs. Everyone knows the national poet Maithilisharan Gupt of bundelkhand. Dadda Dhyan Chand of bundelkhand is a diamond in sport-world ,he is globally known as “Hocky ka jadoogar”. Chambal,Ken,Dhasan,Betwa,Pahuj,Tons and many other rivers are like arteries in this heart of India.The ever green forests of Chitrakoot ,the beautiful lakes of Charkhari, hills of Panna and Mahals of Orchha collectively make this region unique.

History[edit]

The article states: "After khangar dynasty the Chandela clan ruled Bundelkhand from the 9th to the 16th centuries. In the early 14th century they were feudatories of the Pratiharas of Kannauj, and ruled from the fortress-city of Kalinjar."

That is misleading. Chandelas were feudatories of the Pratiharas in the beginning during the 9th cent. The Khangar ruled as local chiefs in some areas after the decline of Chandelas. Chandela rule came to an end in 1315 AD, although some local Chandela chiefs (Kiratrai, father of Durgavati) survived. Malaiya (talk) 01:23, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
