Misleading Synopsis

The plot description makes it sound like the film focusses on solving the mystery around how he got to where he is, which it absolutely doesn't. "US truck driver, awakens buried alive, bound and gagged, with only a Zippo and a mobile phone." => That isn't true. First of all, he has a pencil as well and in addition there are more objects in the coffin, such as a flashlight and a knife. CSI Episode

The premise of this film reminds me of an episode in CSI where one of the main characters was buried alive in a coffin. Would it be worth mentioning a similarity? The theme of being buried alive is more prevalent than this film and the CSI episode. I did a little research, and there is a book called Buried Alive: The Terrifying History of Our Most Primal Fear which has a chapter titled "Literary Premature Burials" that talks about this theme. It has some coverage of films, especially ones based on Poe's "The Premature Burial". Surprisingly, Wikipedia's article premature burial does not have much about the topic in fictional works. I think that instead of mentioning the CSI episode, we should try to have a "In fiction" section at premature burial and link to that. Erik (talk | contribs) 19:29, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

There used to be an "In popular culture section" on the "premature burial" page. The discussion page still reports a (brief) discussion about eliminating most of it. You can see what was removed two years ago as a result of that decision here: [1]. The section was later renamed "In Literature" and eventually "In films" and "In music" sections were added and the long example list returned. In January 2010 those sections all got removed. Error in "Plot" section

In the first half of the film the plot section claims "Paul is able to contact the FBI, but they cut off before he can explain the situation. However, he is able to determine from the questions the FBI official asks him that he has been kidnapped." This is incorrect on two counts: his previous call with the FBI is unrelated, he later talks to a woman at homeland security who indirectly informs him that he has been kidnapped. Despite the protagonists seeming surprise, this conclusion is already obvious from his previous statement that he has been in contact with one of the people who ambushed him, and they are demanding money. Regardless, it is certainly not the FBI nor the questions asked which inform him of the kidnapping. 213.105.26.59 (talk) 15:25, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Reynolds 30th birthday?

Just to make this clear, if the film's events take place on Reynolds' birthday, that is not a "plot device". At the moment, it's unsourced trivia, possibly derived from the film's Wikia page. The film is not about Reynolds and his own 30th birthday is not relevant unless you find a source stating it was somehow relevant (like an inside joke on the set). All that was there before I removed it was a blank statement in Production (not Plot) of something without either a source or reason why it is relevant to the article.
