C.C. Banana is dead...why was it reverted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.219.139.42 (talk) 12:50, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It couldn't be verified: the cited source was a Facebook page, which is not a reliable source—and at that, there was no mention of his alleged death on the cited page. —C.Fred (talk) 00:20, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It was verified on the Metal Sludge site, and his personal Facebook page. Unless you think all his friends and family are lying?.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.121.181.232 (talk) 11:09, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, but neither are his friends and family reliable sources. —C.Fred (talk) 23:37, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Having tracked down the Metal Sludge story,[1] and noting that Metal Sludge is used as a source elsewhere, I've added the information to the article, citing the MS story. Note that the source refers to it being "rumored" that he committed suicide—that can't go in the article, but the death can, since that's reported as "confirmed." —C.Fred (talk) 23:55, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
