Social Democratic Centre?[edit]

The party is not called the "Social Democratic Centre", and I am unclear as to why the article should be called that. Its Portuguese name means "Democratic and Social Centre", which is quite different. Furthermore, the current title encourages confusion with the Social Democratic Party. How did it come to be here? john k (talk) 13:41, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The confusion is intentional. It's obvious that the page has been tampered with. For example, the party is right-wing, but someone has been editing the page so as to give the impression that the party is centre-right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.193.100.40 (talk) 14:24, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

National conservatism[edit]

Indeed, although the party doesn't include National conservatism as one of its official ideologies, the fact is that there are major national conservative factions inside it. I can tell, because I'm a member of the Party's youth and I'm deeply envolved into the party. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PortugalIV (talkcontribs) 14:15, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't about 'official' ideologies, but about ideologies that are verified by reliable third-party sources. As such, neither your opinion nor the party's own opinion matter. So, yes, while I'm aware that there are both national conservative and classical liberal factions, I'd like to see some references for that. Bastin 17:11, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
Again, the "centre-right" appears... And the links [5] and [6] are completely unable to justify why "centre-right" is there. It is just junk. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.242.246.90 (talk)
Oh no, the "centre-right" appeared again. And, again, the [4] and [5] does not seem to satisfy why it should be there. — B.Lameira (talk) 23:28, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Name change[edit]

I oppose the name change, it should have been discussed, besides CDS is a Portuguese acronym. B.Lameira (talk) 01:00, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Is the CDS-PP really Eurosceptic?[edit]

Guys, I may be wrong, but it really does not seem to me at all like the party is Eurosceptic. Their official programme declares that they are pro-European (see section II, point 14). What do you guys think? (This actually affects me personally, because, whilst I agree with the CDS-PP in many things, I would be leery of joining it if it really is Eurosceptic.)
