Editors of this article, please note that the original 'CFLAGS' article was deleted due to being too GNU-/Gentoo-specific, in addition to reading like a manual and being no use to anyone other than GCC tweakers. While the start of this page is much better than the one before, please try to keep in mind not to turn this page into a manual or make it too specific to the GNU toolchain.
