Saadé conflict[edit]

CMA has been created by M.Johnny Saade along with the then president of the Marseille Autonomous port authority M.Jean Rousset, and not by M.Jacques Saade. Can you tell where you got your information from? Pierre —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pierre456 (talkcontribs) 19:59, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's the opposite. The article was in its shape, perhaps not accurate. If you modify some information, you must add a source. --Marc Lacoste 21:57, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done. --Marc Lacoste 22:19, 17 October 2006 (UTC) Vous avez peut-être un extrait de RCS? ;) J'en profite pour modifier la version française.[reply]

I am sorry you are wrong. Did you know that the current CMA was created out of an older CMA. You have to look for the real information not the information supplied by Jacques Saade. Furthermore, it is not accurate to say that Johnny R.Saade contested the purchase of the CGM....this is Jacques Saade's propaganda....Johnny Saade accepted it in a letter addressed to Jacques Saade on the condition that the latter supplies additional information.....the latter never did and for obvious reasons.... he wanted to make people believe that Johnny didn't want the CGM and took it as an excuse in order to let CMA sell it to his personal holding company Merit France s.a. This is called misappropriation of assets, to say the least!!!! By the way you should look at the following link (unfortunately it is in french): libanoscopie.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pierre456 (talkcontribs) 18:47, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Obscure source. The french justice, of which CMA CGM is a subject, had given its view on the situation. If you want to inform wikipedia readers of some other views, you can,but you can't rewrite history. --Marc Lacoste 13:40, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
More exactly : there is only one source for this kind of info, this libanoscopie website and Mistral Holdings Press releases, governed by Johnny Saade. Apparently, a lebanese lobbying. --Marc Lacoste 13:49, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
it seems that you are writing history without checking lawsuits in Paris (France), Lebanon , Syria , Egypt (damietta gate)* etc...They have given their view on the situation and you can't write what you think is right. I saw a whole array of info on the net. You should check them out.

I understood that the Saade brothers are in fact Syrian?

CMA CGM Bailout[edit]

Does anyone know if CMA CGM is requesting a bailout from the French Government? And what the outcome of it is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.183.55.82 (talk) 15:33, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Largest?[edit]

What is meant by "largest container shipping company in Europe"? Both AP Moeller-Maersk and MSC (listed [1] as largest and second-largest shipping companies world-wide) are based in Europe. I also cannot find this statement on their website, which is given as reference. --194.209.126.131 (talk) 11:04, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

User 193.109.119.24 deleted referenced information about the environmental record of CMA CGM. This IP address is registered to the CMA CGM [1], breaching WP:Conflict of interest —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hectorguinness (talkcontribs) 18:10, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The same IP address also made further edits removing well sourced environmental criticism on 6th January. Could an administrator please block that IP address. Also it looks pretty likely that the user "shipping passion" has a conflict of interest. [11:25, 6 January 2010 (UTC)] Hectorguinness (talk) 18:03, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
John Wisky, a newly created account, made a number of edits to the page on 6th January, removing well sourced information about involvement with illegal logging, and added a load of Greenwash crap about how they comply with several international conventions. Could an administrator please protect this article?Hectorguinness (talk) 18:03, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unfounded[edit]

HectorGuiness is implementing roumors and unfounded informations regarding CMA CGM environemental policy. The way of publishing intentional false and harmful informations to a person or an organisation is suceptible of law pursuit. Please block Hectorguinness in his illegal action. —Preceding unsigned comment added by John Wisky (talkcontribs) 17:55, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comments. I assume you work for CMA CGM. The material you deleted was sourced, and in line with Wikipedia editing guidelines. Editing articles about your company is not (WP:Conflict of Interest). Could an administrator please resolve this dispute? Thanks,Hectorguinness (talk) 18:06, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Always assuming Hector?,and you my friend maybe you work for mongabay.com or relaying their information without any other reliable sources (official documents, etc.). My point here Hector, it's to tell you that wikipedia is not a place to make some lobbying against firms or persons,or to manage a communication war agaisnt anyone. You can use blogs or News paper for that. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia with reliable information with an honest approach... —Preceding unsigned comment added by John Wisky (talkcontribs) 10:55, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comment[edit]

An editor recently listed this page as in need of a third opinion. I will continue to look over the article. However, I remind the above editors that the third opinion process is not for vandalism, as such should be reported to WP:AIV. However, if this is a good faith content dispute, I will look over the article in the next day and give my opinion. —James Kalmar 19:04, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Further, I would appreciate the involved editors sharing their concise reasoning for the inclusion or exclusion of certain information. —James Kalmar 19:11, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the unsourced pro-corporate environmental information. It should not be reinserted without independent sourcing. Also, the illegal logging information should not be readded (in my opinion) without more independent sourcing. The only sources provided for the illegal logging were from an arguably partisan (environmental advocacy) organization. If a newspaper or journal that is widely considered independent has information on either of these issues, feel free to add it with references. Hope that helps, best wishes on your productive editing! —James Kalmar 19:19, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

CMA CGM Air Cargo fleet[edit]

Honest question, should we include the four A330Fs of CMA CGM Air Cargo into the main CMA CGM fleet segment, or should we make a separate segment for it?
