Proposed deletion[edit]

What the hell is the proposal for deletion for? Because I edited it something else before I pasted it into the window?Rambrown (talk) 23:51, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I object to the delection. The purpose of the new page is because this is a major summary of all techniques employed to manipulate CREB levels and assess learning. This would overwhelm the main article if included there.Rambrown (talk) 23:55, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article is clearly copied from a published work, e.g. "did not seem to..." Wikipedia does not allow this. andy (talk) 23:56, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the R.A.M. Brown from some of the cited papers. I decided to do this instead of write a review article since I'm part of the SFN effort to improve the neuroscience pages on wikipedia. Hi -- you have the right to remove the delete tag. I'm not sure you have the right to use copyrighted text, though, even if you are the author -- normally publication involves assigning copyright to the journal. But the other issue is that the title doesn't seem right -- there isn't such a thing as Molecular Cognition or Cellular Cognition, is there? (Retitling is easy if we can think of a better one.) It's not copyrighted text. I wrote it specifically for this article rather than write a review article for the literature. It reads like a paper from the literature, because that's where most of my writing goes. There is a thing called Molecular Cellular Cognition. Okay, that's cool then. Don't let the proposal for deletion bother you -- nowadays it seems like nearly every new article gets hit with a deletion tag at some point, there's no way to prevent editors from adding them.
