Trefniadaeth Seilwaith Amddiffyn Man Hyfforddi Caerwent[edit]

In Top Gear it was named 'Trefniadaeth Seilwaith Amddiffyn Man Hyfforddi Caerwent'. Any idea were that name came from?--Wester (talk) 19:51, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It was included in the script as one of the show's jokes. It's most likely a verbatim translation of one of the site's official names, but unless there are citations showing that it is actually an official Welsh name for the site, it shouldn't be included in the article. Potential rename[edit]

What would your guys opinion be on renaming this page to Caerwent Barracks, since it is currently being converted into a barracks for 1Rifles/QDG? It hasn't been the Royal Navy Propellant Factory since 1966. Terrible idea, per WP:CRYSTAL. The article is now largely inconsistent with its own title, describing most aspects, such as the railway, in the wrong tense. Also the barracks won't happen (at the earliest) for another 5 years – if then. Andy Dingley (talk) 00:13, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I would accept a rename to Caerwent Training Area, so long as the former names are bolded in the lead and the text is made consistent throughout. Changing the article title after two days notice was very bad practice. Ghmyrtle (talk) 13:13, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
